WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS AND FULL SHOW 6/25/12

Only former WWE Champions to compete in WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Following up on a tweet from earlier in the day that he would make an historical announcement, John Cena came to the ring to address the WWE Universe in person. After Cena recalled the fate of former GM John Laurinaitis using a slew of “Star of Wars” references.  Chris Jericho returned to Raw and interrupted the Cenation leader. As the two mixed words, Cena revealed his big news. “In order to stop Big Show, for the first time ever, I’m putting myself in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match,” he said.

But Jericho was not impressed with Cena’s declaration, and went on to tout his history in Money in the Bank Ladder Matches and the importance of such a potentially career-altering encounter. After Jericho revealed he, too, would compete at Money in the Bank, Vickie Guerrero emerged to put a twist on things. She revealed that the WWE Board of Directors declared the WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match would include only former WWE Champions, which includes: Kane, Big Show, Jericho and Cena.

Following the Money in the Bank news, the Interim GM announced Cena would face Jericho later on Raw for the first time in two years.

John Cena def. Chris Jericho by Disqualification

In their first match in two years, Chris Jericho appeared to have John Cena right where he wanted when he had him locked in the Walls of Jericho. But before a winner could be declared, Big Show charged in and dropped his massive frame down on the Cenation leader, ending the bout in a disqualification. Next, with the match over and Jericho out of the ring

The World’s Largest Athlete brutalized Cena with a chokeslam, followed up with a Colossal Clutch. Only after Cena turned blue in the face, did Show finally release him from his grasp and drop him in a lifeless heap in the ring.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
The ladders for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match to win a crack at the WWE Champion will have to be reinforced following major announcements on both Raw SuperShow and SmackDown!

Vickie Guerrero, the interim General Manager of Raw and SmackDown, announced that no one can simply “throw their hat in the ring” for a chance to take part in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, as Big Show announced he was doing a few nights earlier on SmackDown. However, because he’s a former WWE Champion, The World’s Largest Athlete will indeed get a chance to compete for a contract for a future WWE Title Match alongside several other former WWE Champions July 15.

Under the guidance of the WWE Board of Directors, Guerrero announced that this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match will feature a unique and exciting concept: It will consist of only former WWE Champions. This year’s participants are Big Show, Kane, Chris Jericho and John Cena!

The Money in the Bank Ladder Match is one of WWE’s most exciting – and most meaningful – matches of the year. A dangerous concept birthed in 2005, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match pits competitors against each other in a free-for-all format. Surrounding the ring is an assortment of ladders, which one fortunate Superstar uses to reach the prize that dangles from the rafters: a briefcase. Far from an ordinary briefcase, the Money in the Bank briefcase contains a contract that guarantees its possessor a title opportunity at the time and place of his choosing. To hold the contract, which expires after one year, is to sit in the catbird seat. So far, every Superstar who cashed in his contract has come away from his challenge as a new champion.

The Ladder Match is an uncommon type of battle for Big Show and Cena. How will these two fare against Superstars who are more seasoned at climbing the rungs, like Jericho and Kane? Stay tuned to Raw SuperShow and SmackDown as Money in the Bank approaches July 15.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW FULL SHOW

A NEW RAW WAS BORN FROM 1 EPIC NIGHT, JOHNNY WAS FIRED AND IT WAS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.
_______________________________________________________________________________

John Laurinaitis refused to make a quiet exit. Sporting a neck brace and crutches, the former General Manager and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations repeatedly called members of the WWEUniverse "losers" because they've lost "People Power." After making his entrance, Big Show thanked Laurinaitis for signing him to an ironclad contract and the big, fat bonus, but stated there's no reason The World's Largest Athlete should be in the ring tonight. Big Show then left Laurinaitis and David Otunga high and dry, making it a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against John Cena instead.

From there, it was pain on top of humiliating pain for Big Johnny. The Cenation leader hit Laurinaitis with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and slammed him to the canvas with an Attitude Adjustment, but he wasn't done yet. Pointing to former SmackDown GM Theodore Long, who was sitting ringside, Cena dropped Laurinaitis with another A.A., then a third one for good measure at the cheering fans' request. Finally, Cena put an end to Laurinaitis' misery as he locked on the STF and made him tap out.
